However, they were surprised to learn that he had been working in a photocopy shop for approximately six years, earning around RM 3,000 per month.

His friend then shared the difficulties he faced in finding a job that matched his PhD qualifications. Despite attending several interviews, none of them were suitable for someone with his level of education, ultimately leading to his current situation.

This revelation brought relief, knowing that his friend doesn’t have to worry about repaying loans—a positive aspect of his situation. Reflecting on this, he shared in his post, “Pada awalnya rasa kesian kat dia. Tapi lepas tu saya rasa kesian kat diri sendiri pula. Baik dia tak ada loan langsung. Hidup tenang tanpa hutang.” Translated to English, it means, “At first, I felt sorry for him. But then, I started feeling sorry for myself instead. It’s better that he has no loans at all. Living peacefully without debt.”
It’s fortunate that he is debt-free, especially considering that many people with higher salaries struggle to repay loans, which can significantly add stress to their lives and drain them both financially and emotionally.
