Job Description

Breastfeeding Support: Offer one-on-one guidance on breastfeeding techniques, positioning, milk production, and resolving common issues like engorgement or sore nipples.
Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct assessments for mothers and infants to evaluate breastfeeding techniques, milk supply, and infant weight gain.
Education & Training: Teach new parents about breastfeeding benefits, proper latch, milk expression, storage, and safe breast pump use. Provide prenatal workshops for expectant mothers.
Care Coordination: Work with healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans for breastfeeding families.
Emotional Support: Offer encouragement and reassurance to mothers facing breastfeeding challenges.
Monitor Progress: Follow up with families through regular check-ins, home visits, or virtual consultations.
Record Keeping: Document all interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and on time.
Stay Updated: Keep informed on the latest research in lactation, breastfeeding techniques, and infant nutrition for optimal care.

Working Hours: Monday - Sunday, Rotational 1 Off day per week (working hours: 8am-5pm OR 11am-8pm)

Job Requirements

Minimum diploma in nursing with relevant qualification in lactation.
At least 5 years of experience in lactation counseling.
In-depth knowledge of breastfeeding techniques, infant care, and lactation physiology.
Familiarity with common breastfeeding challenges and evidence-based practices in lactation
management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate, support, and encourage parents in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to assess and address a wide range of
breastfeeding challenges.
Proficiency in Mandarin is required for this role.
